Great idea to label your solid fabrics!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31805894.post-4713593164025657892010-02-21T19:12:36.581-06:002010-02-21T19:12:36.581-06:00so wish i would have thought to write on my Kona a...so wish i would have thought to write on my Kona as well...thanks for the tip!!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07095680014410577292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31805894.post-78042028097223396082010-02-21T18:49:27.184-06:002010-02-21T18:49:27.184-06:00$400 is not to shabby :)

I got it from Pink Chalk fabrics and highly recommend spending the money on one, I find it soooo helpful.Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00227138410417031980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31805894.post-11692876040274487502010-02-21T17:08:16.477-06:002010-02-21T17:08:16.477-06:00What a great idea to just write the names of the c...What a great idea to just write the names of the colors on the selvage. I recently bought about 20 different colors of Kona cotton (primarily blues and greens), then when I was ready to work on the quilt, I didn't know which color was which, and had to go back to the store. I cut little pieces from the selvage of each cut and taped them on a piece of paper, matched them from the bolt, and wrote the name of the color down on the paper.

I think $400 is pretty good. You're right, it could have been much worse. With a few exceptions, I think that usually a handmade quilt does not go for nearly what it is worth, which can be very disappointing.

joanwishes, true and kindhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12569644595415450495noreply@blogger.com
