This box of extra, formal thank you cards from our weeding has been sitting around for ages. They get used once in a great while. So I made some better with a glue stick and scraps.
After sticking a nice group of fabrics, I stitched them down. I only needed four today, but decided to keep going and make a bunch. Might as well since I was trashing the needle already.
I REALLY REALLY need to get on my bee blocks now. I've been playing travel agent full time for a few days. We have a trip to Maui and Kauai coming up and we need daily plans.
Great re-use, Angela! And btw, can you plan me a trip to Hawaii, too?
ReplyDeleteOoh. I bow to your superior recycling and repurposing skills!
ReplyDeleteGreat way to decorate simple cards for all kinds of occations; I have only done it for Christmas!
ReplyDeletegreat looking cards Angela. We usually just use glue, but i like your method too!
ReplyDeleteawesome travel plans!!
What a clever way to dress them up! Cute! Jenn
ReplyDeletei love this, what a cute, personal idea.
ReplyDeleteLovely use of the cards and scrap fabric!
ReplyDeleteAnd wohoo for a Hawaiian vacation! Looks like we might be going on one in November. Taking the kids and my husband for their very first time! Can't wait.
Kauai is one of my favorite places (next to Montana). What an awesome trip!!! Love the reusing of the thank you notes. Believe it or not, I still have some from my wedding (long time ago)....hmmm...maybe I'll pull them out. Love this idea! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLove the cards, I may have to steal that idea! Hawaii... can I come? That's sounds like an awesome trip, have fun planning :)
ReplyDeletemy husband and i just booked a trip to kauai and the big island. i'd love to hear what you decide to do in kauai. i hear Waimea Canyon is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThey look great! Wouldn't they be perfect little gift cards to go with a quilt as a gift. You could make them with coordinating scraps. I send my tiny scraps to my son's preschool and it is cute to see them come back to me glued on crafts he makes.
ReplyDeleteHmm, my quilting buddy has a birthday this week, I think she might get one of those! Thanks, nice idea.
ReplyDeleteI love them. I have a bunch of cards left over from my wedding. Now I know what to do with them.
