i sewed mine to the tablecloth twice last week....
Well, if misery loves company, you were in good company - I spent several hours this afternoon picking out a 30" x 6" swath of quilting that didn't look as good executed as it did in my head!!!
bummer... I've done this too. :((great quilting though!)

I've done it too, once I was able to just cut away the fabric that got caught. I've done it while applying binding, most recently. :)
That makes me want to scream! I hate when that happens... just happened yesterday :(
