My First Bee Blocks!

I'm still here - mostly I've been doing terrible things to little gnomes. In case you've missed some of it, here's the link with most of the info. Other bits are around my photo stream. But that link includes Spoonflower's response. They're working hard to figure out what's going on.

Too bad these won't survive after a few more washings - they were so cute

I have to post these awesome blocks from Rebekah! They are the first bee blocks that somebody has made for me. I love them!

There's almost a certain vintage-y charm with the faded fabrics...but since it shouldn't be fading, problems abound! I'm afraid to cut into my plum mushies now because of that!

Rebekah's blocks turned out great and I love her siggy block! What size is her siggy block?

I just washed my spoonflower fabric in the washing machine (had no idea about your test) and neither the plum fabric with mushrooms or the green fabric with gnomes faded. Although now I'm a bit nervous to use it without testing a bit more. hmmm....

That's so disappointing about the Spoonflower fabric! At least they responded and are offering a refund.

Your bee blocks are pretty awesome... I love that you just told us to do right angles hehe :)

I love faded fabric, but understand your frustration! The blocks are sew happy and bright!

I've left something for you on my blog today if you get a chance to take a look!

Thank you so much for being you!

Thank you for all of your work with Spoonflower. I hope they will be able to figure it out. The blocks are great too.

How sad to have such beautiful fabric fade like that. Spoonflower is located about 15 minutes from where I grew up.

Where should I go looking to join a swap? I have been to Flicker and truth be told it is way overwhelming.

I just received fabric from spoonflower ( pictures on my blog)so now I`ll have to make a test washing I guess...

I like the vintage look of the gnomes after the fading...but that fabric is definitely too expensive for that to happen.

For Steph - I'm not sure of the size of the siggy block (didn't measure it)

I put your blocks in the mail yesterday, so you should probably get them tomorrow.
