After all the testing and drama with the Spoonflower fabrics, I ended up having them all refunded. So that fabric came back out of my stash. (I did reshop with my birthday money - it will be in next week's stash report I expect.)
And just a tad of fabric came in from Kerri's etsy shop - I had to have a couple pieces for a special quilt I started this weekend.
Today a friend of mine is having a mastectomy and will be starting chemo soon. (I just got an email and her surgery has gone very well this morning.) I wanted to make something fun and sunny. I think there will be days where she's very tired and feeling down and thought a happy quilt could be nice.
I'm having a great time making fun blocks! And I'm having a good stash week.

I love these! Neat to see after we were just talking about improv blocks. :)
My favorite is the blue one in the first picture, where the white & blue strips weave around the rectangle.
I'll be thinking of your friend; what a wonderful gift, and I definitely think it's going to be a sunny quilt!
Love your happy quilt and I am sure your friend will love it as well as the thought behind it!

Once again, I'm inspired by your work - I have that Happy Campers fabric in a little jumper that my daughter has outgrown. Now I know how I'm going to use the bits I plan to cut up!

I tested my fabric I bought from spoonflower and it got worse, so I am getting a replacement shipment. Hopefully the next batch will be better.

My thoughts and prayers are with your friend. My mother is a 6-year survivor and I wish your friend the same success!
My prayers and thoughts go out to your friend. I had a double mastectomy years ago and have been cancer free ever since. I know that she will love that beautiful sunny quilt to wrap herself up in on bad days. God Bless Sandra
