I haven't posted on my stash use lately. Mainly because there isn't much to say - good or bad. I haven't bought a single thing for a couple of weeks. {This will change once Tuffted Tweets is available - I'm thinking the whole FQ set is in order}
Anyway, I've only used about 2 yards because I've been making lots of bee blocks in my available time. Bee fabric in/out doesn't count either way.
First there's Jacquie's cool red crosses.
First there's Jacquie's cool red crosses.
And I made two more cross blocks for my vintage bee.
Finally, I'm almost done with Flying Geese for Amy in these wonderful solids. I have a flying geese phobia, and she said we could make our geese in any shape - even wonky if we wanted, so I took the liberty of drawing up a big paper-pieced block 'o geese.
The last row will have to wait, as it seems I'm missing something. Oh, it's my machine!
My machine was taken to the shop. It skips more stitches than it makes. I'm hoping that it only needs a tune-up and will be back quickly.
Good thing I took up hexagons!

All great blocks!! Love the geese. Here's to hoping your machine isn't too sick!
Awesome blocks Angela! I especially love those red crosses and your flying geese. Sure hope your machine is back to sewing soon.
Good for you for resisting new fabrics lately. I have not been so good! (new Little Folks) I can't wait for Castle Peeps and Far Away 2 to come out. Love your bee blocks. Too bad you couldn't finish your awesome geese block - hope the machine just needed a tuneup.
that stinks about the machine...i love all these bee blocks. i really like the vintage cross blocks...they looks pretty easy to make and so fun.
I love all of your stuff, as I always too. I really like the flying geese. I am one of those people that like them.
well pre-machine drama you were productive!! so now in your down time get to cutting... so that when your baby comes back you are ready to go!!
your blocks for jacquie look great! For a minute there I thought I you were also in Common threads with me, but then I realized she must have used the same block request for another bee.
And I am totally smitten with the solids used in that flying geese block.
Beautiful work!
I'm so excited about Tufted Tweets too! It's such a fun line.
Love your latest blocks!
I have several of the fabrics you have including the vintage flowers with the lines on it. I really love this post, though, because I have an affinity for blocks featuring solid fabrics. Your flying geese are lovely.
Hope you get your machine back soon!
I love how hexagons are your saving grace now that your machine is in the shop. I sat next to to a woman working on hexagons at our quilt guild meeting tonight, and she showed me how to do them!
Hope your machine is better soon!
Wow, those are fabulous blocks! I especially love the flying geese - he solids are so vibrant and really let your piecing shine! Sorry about your machine - that's why I can't let any of my old machines go - I've always got to have a spare!! (It's an addiction....)
I love the red, black and white crosses, very cool. Your flying geese look neat too, but quite time consuming.
I'm totally in love with the tufted tweets line too, I can't wait to get my hands on it! But then you know what happens after that....darn it. Maybe not though, we'll see!
