Others are Working!

I'm still spending a bunch of time online everyday, trying to decide what we'll do while in Hawaii. So most of my free sewing time has been used up. But others have been sewing for me!

I have most of my bee blocks back and tossed them out on the floor together for the first time. I love them! I planned on sashing them all up to about 18-20" square in Kona Snow, but now I'm thinking perhaps a gray?

Look, even the little signature blocks are awesome together! Thanks everyone!

What a great group of blocks and I love the idea of the signature blocks! I'm just piecing together my bee quilt and I wish I had some like that for the label

LOVE those blocks! Really great colors. Gray would be really gorgeous with it, definitely a very modern feel. You can't go wrong with white, obviously that would give the whole thing a much brighter feel.

I think gray also. Hawaii how fun. I have been pricing tickets to Key West.

If, like me, you seek out fabric stores on your travels, you might want to look at this website - http://www.gotfabric.com/about_us/ - I went to this store in Kona, on the Big Island; they have two shops on the Big Island, plus one on Maui and one on Kauai. Great selection of Hawaiian prints in cottons, also lots of Japanese prints, plus some local quilt patterns. Very reasonable prices, plus they will ship home for you basically at cost. Their website also will e-mail you with sales and great deals....
