Well, it has been an interesting week. Seems more like early spring around here with the strange weather. Luckily the travel hexagon kit has been loaded and at the ready for every time we have to dash down to the basement!
A micro burst or something came through - literally pushed over a large willow and spruce in the neighbor yards.
One of our 4x4 fence posts was sheared off at the cement base by the WIND. It's barely holding on at the bottom there!
And this one burst ended at our sunroom. My window is now...art? Poor Becket was freaked out and screaming "I don't want to die!" Amazingly in all that, none of out homes were majorly damaged and no people were injured at all.
Finally, today looks like a stable weather pattern. And I got 45 more hexagons done in the basement. So all is good!

Oh, poor Becket! That had to be scary... We have had some tough thunderstorms but not all that you are getting East of us.

Glad everyone is safe. Love your new blog look! I'm still drooling over all your little hexies. I've been taking my hexagon templates with me, but still haven't made any. Maybe Montana will be the place for me. We leave tomorrow and have several road trips planned. I've learned I sleep (and snore) on planes so no crafting done then ;-)
Oh my! Glad to hear no one was hurt, although getting scared isn't much fun either. The window photo is gorgeous though, you're right it does look like art. At least your getting hexes done right! haha, they look awesome by the way.

YIKES! I've heard there's been some really crazy weather in Chi-town the last few days. Glad you're all OK, even if there has been a bit of damage. And always good to have a project at the ready for when you have to make a hasty retreat. :-)

I miss our basement--we go to an interior bathroom now--after a really bad ice storm (think the Battle of the Bulge damage to the trees), we really sleep through most of them now! LOL
So sorry about your fence and your window. But' very thankful you're all safe and kept sound through sewing!

wow angela, you did get it bad! we had a terrible storm, but not that kind of damage. so sorry your little Becket was so scared...how awful for you all. glad all is well today!

The window looks like one of those skeleton type leaves, but I'm sure it must have sounded horrible when it broke (thank goodness for tempered glass, right?)
