Finished Tablecloth Quilt

I am done! This quilt will be the table cloth for my event this Sunday - at 77" square, it will just cover the top and the stars will hang at the edge. Hopefully any spills will land in the white area, for easy bleaching later! I'll be using it as a lap quilt after Sunday.

As I was lamenting how long it took to make one pass of stipple across the edge - after all those fun, fast minis - I came up with a plan. I quilted the double hourglass center on the diagonal, like a stained glass window. Then concentric squares in the boarders. The remaining stippling was super easy, and I lucked out with no bunchy wrinkles on either the front or back!

Speaking of the back, I used the Dvala Ikea sheet and love how it quilted up. Don't know what the shrinkage will be, I haven't washed it yet. So close to the day, I think I'd totally lose it if the washer ate my quilt!

I Love it! I can see where going from all your sweet minis to quilting something this large might be daunting, but it looks fabulous! I need to track down some of those Ikea sheets....

Looks great! I love your quilting. I would be mortified if my kids ate on it. Maybe cover it with clear tablecloth plastic on the roll at walmart.

Another beauty! I love the way the quilting turned out. I think I would have a cow if someone spilled on it! :) I'm glad to see you will end up with one to snuggle under.

So gorgeous!! I'd be so busy watching everyone at the table to prevent spills lol And don't even go there about the washer eating your quilt! Happy thoughts! Hehe :) I do recommend Shout Color Catcher though... It's saved a few of my quilts!

What a stunning tablecloth quilt!!! I think everyone at your table will be real careful with their drinks. No one is going to want to be the one to stain it. I love the way you quilted it.

One question...what's next now that you are done with this huge project?!
